Training & Consulting to Health, Education & Social Care Providers
We have delivered training to many National and International providers of health and social care over the last 10 years. Settings have included a regional fire service, mental health services, pain management clinics, drug services, and prisons.
What makes our training different from others?
- It focusses on practitioner’s pre-existing strengths and therefore enhances confidence by building on participants’ current expertise.
- It keeps the people professionals work with at the centre of training.
- It is based on the evidence of what works in training and how learning can be sustained.
- We think in the long term and help trainees, and their employers, consider how gains in training will be maintained and embedded in their work setting
What methods do we use in training?
- Video and audio presentation of real life case material
- Learning from clients with 1st person narratives on what the client believed helped in therapy.
- Handouts and relevant reading materials.
- Reference to current evidence-base.
- Carefully planned role-plays, real-plays and small group exercises to aid skill development with personalised feedback
